This experiment uses Archimedes’ Principle to determine the mass of dinosaurs. To calculate a dinosaur’s mass, students record its mass while it hangs from a scale and again when it is submerged in water. With the supervision of a knowledgeable adult, even young grade school children can perform this experiment.
